The Rt Rev Edward Archibald Parry (1861–1943) was Bishop of Guyana from 1900 until 1921[1] and Archbishop of the West Indies from 1917 until 1921.
Born into an eminent family,[2] he was educated at Winchester and Oriel College, Oxford[3] and ordained in 1884.[4] After a curacy at St Mary, Acton [5] and a period as Resident Chaplain to the Bishop of Rochester he was Rector of Sundridge and Vicar of St Mark, New Milverton, Leamington[6] before his elevation to the Episcopate. From the death of his cathedral's dean in 1918 onwards, he was additionally dean of said cathedral, an arrangement which continued until 1937.
